Maranoa Regional Council recognises the importance of volunteers within the community and as such volunteers are valued for providing customer focused services and enhancing established initiatives in our region. Applicants for volunteer positions are matched to positions according to how well their knowledge, skills and abilities meet the criteria.
Any person in contact with children and young persons as part of their volunteer employment must hold (or be able to gain) a current Blue Card issued by the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian.
If you are a volunteer working with clients with a disability you will be required to undergo a criminal history check in accordance with prevailing Disability Services Queensland legislation.
